    What a delightful dress, the colors are so striking.

    I agree with everyone on 50s for this one too and as Linn stated not really a Hawaiian styled dress but one purchased from a store in Hawaii.

    aha! i think you've got those sashes right, just crossed at the neckline and knotted.

    i wouldn't call this a cocktail dress (which is a short evening dress), it's a gown.
