I will be adding these to the VC mall today or tomorrow as they are not in season and probably won't garner much interest on eBay until Fall.

  2. Love that Dior suit. Don't know if that is the shade but cobalt blue is suppose to be hot this fall.

    Great stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Again Jonathan, some wonderful items! My faves are the Sybill Connelly
dress, the knit two piece, the Dior suit and the black lace 30s dress (how did you place the date on this - I thought 20s when I first saw it).

The black dress is too long for the 20s. There are long dresses in the early 20s, but they are straight and tubular, this has a flared skirt, and the addition of the flying panels/peplum add to the curvaceous skirt silhouette which is a 30's feature, not 20s. Also, the waistline is near the natural level which starts in late 1929 and is typical of 1930/31. By 1932 the natural waist is found on all garments.

I love that velvet dress, although it's STILL too small for me.
