SPOTLIGHT ON VINTAGE: HATS

It's March now - and where I live (Hawaii) it's been so windy that my hat blew off while I was walking yesterday. But for many it's still cool enough to cover our heads. For this week's "Spotlight" let's share some of our favorite vintage hats. Here a a couple of mine.

I've never been able to find out anything about this hat so if someone knows about Ciné-Vogue Fashions - please post here!

This is another "fun" hat:

This hat is velvet with wonderful crocheted balls and a covered moveable cord bow on the top. The label is "Ere Nouvelle". Size 22 1/2.

That is great information! I have always wondered about this hat. Thank you!!! I think it's probably late '30s from the style and this information.

This is my all time favorite hat in my personal collection.
Mainly due to the style, and that it is from the local department store where I worked in visual merchandising in the 1980s.
Late 1930s vivid red fedora style hat.

And this one sold years ago to a hat customer of mine. I wish I still had it, but I am sure she treasured it.

And a favorite hat box in my collection. Again from a local store.

I stumbled onto a former hat I sold that was quite wounded but still a Laddie...here is the label too:

Then I found this one..this black feather hat was AMAZING! I sold it to a long time client of ours.

I just pulled my Laddie out of storage to photograph it. I have had it for so many years.
I don't have photos of them, but, I have some Edwardian, 1920s and more 40s from local stores.

Janice you are the Perfect hat model.
I never go anywhere to wear mine now.

This was many years ago. My favorite Edwardian straw with flowers. Again, a local store.
Sorry for the bad photo, I was ill, but I was going out anyway.
