Take a sniff down memory lane with me....

smells

Oh I Lo-o-o-v-e smells!
SO LOVES BABY SOFT & SWEET HONESTY (AVON) were the most popular in HighSchool, but since everyone was drenched in it I had to stand out .. so along with my vintage clothes I wore JUNGLE GARDINA, ala Billie holiday & my Grandmother who wore a gardinia in her hair every chance she got!
The best part was during role call, a certain teacher would comment, "I know Sullivan's here I can smell her"
(I know what ur thinking I'm sure he meant this in the good way)

I caught a whiff of Aqua Velva today~ That was my dad's only aftershave~
My mom tells me when he was in the Air Force and gone for months at a time she would find me sitting in the coat closet because it smelled like dad~
Man, I miss him:wub:

Eau de flowers
Eau de trees
Eau de birdies and de bees
Eau the sun that shines above, and
Eau the smell of Eau de Love...

Yes, I wore Love's baby soft as a teenager, too! Also, around the same time, Je Reviens (I got it as my duty free souvenir on a family trip to the Virgin Islands--we were VERY middle class, so this trip was a big deal and I made that bottle of perfume last a lonnng time...)

My mother was a schoolteacher so she got many gifts of perfume each year--Evening in Paris, Emeraude, and L Air Du Temps are a few I remember. And after I got my Dad a bottle of Canoe one year for Father's Day, that became his signature scent for a good long while.

I wore White Shoulders for a little while--remember the pretty bottle that came in?

I've been stuck on L' Heure Bleue since the mid 80s...
