I know I have been absent for a while. Life has been a little crazy!
The day has finally almost come. We are packing up everything now and will be hitting the road for CA on the 15th! Some of you may know that my husband has been working down in San Diego county for the last year and it has been a very difficult time. I am so happy to finally be making the big move with the rest of the family. Kayla will be coming out for the summer and then going back to East Carolina for her soph year in the fall. Quin, of course, is coming and the best news is that Brooke and her fiance have also decided to make the move and both have full time jobs lined up. We found a house in San Marcos and should be moving in on the 20th.
The bad news is that me and dh wont be together on his bday on the 8th or our 30th anniversary on the 10th and I am really bummed out about that. It has been a really tough year. At this point I am not even sure if he will be able to fly out to help with the move as he is so busy at work. The good news is that we should all be together for Father's Day and my birthday which are both on the 21st.
I am so happy to be moving back to CA and starting a new chapter. Wish us luck-we could use it.
 
Jealous! You'll have perfect weather year round. I don't envy you the moving party, but best of luck, Marie! I hope you'll be around here more once you get settled.
 
I have been wondering about you Marie. Glad that you will be moving to be together...I am sure time will fly by before you are cuddling with the hubby on a regular basis again!

Ahhh, Thanks guys. I really can't wait. The AC has been broken here for the last 4 weeks. I should know better than to have a friend of a friend work on it. So it has been perfectly miserable here. I cant wait for perfect weather.
 
Well, shoot! I'm really going to miss you, though we haven't seen much of each other lately.

That's great that Brooke is making the move too!:hiya:
 
I guess I'd better! I still have tha JLC set for you.

I was going to go to metrolina this weekend, but I'm dog-sitting for the neighbor, and it's a lot more than I bargained for!

Maybe next week???
 
Oh, that sounds like a good new chapter! I also lived apart from my husband, for something like 4 years (I didn't want to count), and know how hard that is. You are going to a great area, and get to reunite family!
 
At last the day is almost here for you and your hubby to get in to couple mode again! Thank goodness he is busy with work, as so many are not even able to find work these days!

I hope the move is not too stressful for you and you can soon put up your tired feet and get a little R&R :drinking2: with hubby at your side of course!

Lizzie-I meant you can visit us in CA but your are also welcome to come down here before we move. I have to warn you that this place is turned upside down.
We are having a HUGE sale on Sat and I am purging big time. Lots of bargains!

I can't even IMAGINE the packing even if you are purging.
Do you still have those storage units full in the back yard?
