Chanukah is the eight day festival commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem which took place in the second century B.C. when during the Maccabean Revolt the Jews rose up against Greek/Syrian oppressors. Starting on the 25th day of the Hebrew month Kislev a candle is lit on a candelabrum called a menorah for each night of the holiday. This week our members showcase their vintage wears in the blue, white and gold tones of this holiday celebration.
