Oh Kelly, your 1940s white crepe dress is going to make me cry!! Those are the dresses I wore almost exclusively when I first got into vintage in my teens!! I had a closet full, you could find them everywhere!! (We're talking 25 years ago :( ) And then I became, "sophisticated" cough, cough, and stopped wearing vintage!! Ack!! I shudder when I think of what I did with all my dresses -- it's just better not to ask...

I need to go cry me a river :sniff:

But before I do, here's another Star Spangled purse...

Now if you will excuse me, I have to go kick my own butt! :violins:

Another patriotic theme handbag from Margaret Smith! I had to have my best friend who's a history buff and political writer look at the purse for me to tell me what it was all about. He said the images on the purse depict the turning points of the American Revolution. Go figure! Who would have thought!! One scene shows George Washington hugging General Knox.... okaaaaaay.

Well, at least the mystery is solved.

I have already encountered these shoes in the mall and was sad they don't fit! If any ladies out there are an 8A or 8.5 A or maybe AA you might want to check em out!

Gee Sandra, how cute would those look all together! The blue dress with the red buttons, those fabu shoes and both the bracelets on your wrists!! :clapping:

Here's yet another purse from moi, and yes, it's another Margaret Smith (and I still haven't finished my margaret smith stock!) But this one is my favorite. Probably because it's so different from her usual handbag style. And I love the print!

1970s Margaret Smith Shoulder Bag - New Old Stock!! Woohoo!!
