Ok . . . I nearly died and went to heaven yesterday when I picked up this coat at the flea market. The label says: "Mary Sachs - Harrisburg Lacaster Reading" (all cities in my area)

But I don't care about the maker - just LOOK at this . . .

Tell me that isn't the most beautiful Opera coat you've seen! The dazzling vivid blue color, the long elegant form fitting cut (it has two velvet covered buttons in the same color/pattern and a high mandarin neck when closed), and that totally amazing quilted pattern - WOW!

You'll kill me when I say how much I picked it up for:

$2 ;)

*runs away to flee the reprisals and to admire the coat again*

Sorry, ladies, this one is staying in my personal collection!

Fabulous coat! Congratulations!

I have an early 1930s velvet coat in that same blue color, and everyone is awestruck when they see it. You're going to get so many compliments if you decide to wear it!

Tiff, that is just fabulous! I hope your eyes are blue.;) Otherwise, you can give it to me because mine are. LOL
