Looking for info to confirm Tony Lama boots, bought in mid 80s, black label inside but came with gold medallion, thus I think they are considered gold label. I think they are full quill elephant. Can this be confirmed with style number?

What do you mean by "full quill"? Elephants aren't feathered! Here is our entry for elephant in the fur directory - https://vintagefashionguild.org/fur-resource/elephant/

As far as dating them, it is hard to say from one picture. And, you don't show the interior label or a close up of the chain label. You could definitely contact Tony Lama, as they are still doing brisk business in manufacturing fantastic boots!

You’re correct. I used the wrong word, quill. I was implying they were a solid panel from side to side. The date is accurate as I acquired them new at Tony Lama Store in El Paso about 1985. The link you provided was helpful. Thx

I believe the only way to authenticate between black and gold label is asking Tony Lama, as the gold is detachable and both carry the same interior black label. If you still have the box, then you would have more proof. It may only matter if you are selling, if the buyer knows or cares about the difference in label! Much easier to prove the skin.

Thx again. I called justin boot co and inquired about the style number. They were helpful and looked it up but could not locate it due to the age. I am thinking of selling and trying to determine a fare price to ask. The label is black and they came with the gold medallion. Any help with that would be appreciated. Thx again.

We can't help with pricing or authentication, here. It looks like you have a ton of information to research comparable boots that have sold or are for sale. Sizing makes a difference, as far as if the size is not common, they will be harder to sell. Tony Lama has always been a terrific brand, very well made.
