Unsure about the date of this dress 1960s?

I ordered this dress from Etsy, and I can't seem to place the decade. I'm thinking likely 1960s, but could easily be older. Any help? I know it's cotton with an accordion skirt with a side zipper with the letters "AMITY" on it and that the seams have not been surged or finished at all really. Pictures below!

The side zip makes me think it's earlier, to me it looks like a 1930s dress. I'm not an expert though.

I don't know a lot about dresses that are under the 60's but I just sold a 1950's dress with a side metal zipper. Is the zipper metal or plastic?

It's a metal zipper, yes
