Hello everyone, I found this lovely beaded purse with no tag on the inside. I can't determine the precise date or origin, or the material composition of the beads, which look kind of like shingles on the side of the bag. I'd guess it's 50's/60's. Thoughts? Anyone seen one like it? Thank you! Leah
I agree with your dating and think that the "beads" might be Lucite or another type of plastic - imitating amber. Could you show us a closer photo and an interior photo of the purse, as well.
Hi, Nice purse. Can't see 50s although they did make purses like this in the 50s, I put it more 60s or very early 70s but I suspect more 60s.
