***VFG Fashion Parade*** Sequins, Sparkles, & Beads

Oh my! The holidays are upon us, and what better time to glam things up a bit with some shine and shimmer! Show us your sequins, sparkles, and beads!

BOTH OF THESE full length dresses will be going up in my store this week.

Available on Ebay ~

First this quilted black velvet evening jacket w/ rhinestones (it looks so much nicer in person - black is so difficult to photograph for me)

And, just for fun, these darling "crystal" ball drop earrings~

The worlds craziest beaded earrings.

If you know your costume jewelry, you know they should be COPPOLA E TOPPO, 60s Italian.

But no, they're Miriam Haskell, the lady best known for her discrete handmade pearls.

I put them on at the show where I purchased them, hooking the piece that looks like eyeglasses OVER the ear, clipping the button TO the ear.

OMG a great way to lose an ear, since these. being BIG lead crystal beads and fully 8 inches long, weigh 4 pounds each (an exaggeration...but it feels like that), and they swing about when you move.

How did a girl ever DO THE TWIST in them?:o

Months later, I realized no dressed-up lady of this period left the house without a WIG....they clip to the ear and hook into the wig!!!

My favorite parade so far! So many things to choose from, so little time. Showing beaded sweaters would be too easy, so I challenged myself to find anything other than that!
