With Halloween lurking in the shadows, please join us for some vintage mayhem and mystery on this very board! We begin the sordid tale this weekend with a journey through the "Goth" fashion niche which has been inextricably linked with Halloween time in the public eye.

(with special surprises from our very own reporter in the field) Watch for updates all this week right on through to Halloween weekend!

Next, get ready for October 26th for more lighthearted faire Unless we just can't wait until then!

Get out all your photos from vintage halloweens past. Were you Miss America in the 50s? a ninja in the 80s? What we dress up as says a lot about the current culture our personalities ...and clothing. So lets have a few laughs! Whether you are a regular member or just stopping by, settle in, pour some virtual apple cider and have a laugh with old and new friends.

We will also be having a thread for everyone to post examples of vintage costume...items from years past that were made to be worn as costumes or theater wear versus things that were intended as every day clothing back then...and just worn as costume today.

Plus...you never know what spontaneous conversations or surprises (tales of terrifying fashion statements from vintage past?) that could transpire.

A worthwhile discussion in progress on 20s/30s costumes for a murder mystery party was started awhile ago...but feel free to jump in or offer any suggestions!

Thanks everybody for participating!!! Lin is still going to continue a bit more on the Goth thread, and you are all welcome to post your costumes from last night!
