Vintage 20s style dress?

I have recently acquired this dress and would be interested to know what the consensus of opinion would be as to its age! Not new certainly but could it be as old as the style would indicate?
It is made from some type of satin fabric - rayon, acetate? Rather amateurishly handmade.
The bead trim around the neck seems to be glass & is quite heavy.
There are some areas of discolouration/damage on the skirt - possibly moth related. The seams are a bit ragged & frayed. I have tried to show this in the photos (sorry there are so many!)
Any opinions and/or advice would be much appreciated.

I think it was most likely made by a home sewer or costume shop, with the intention of evoking the late 1920s. That makes it very hard to date, especially because trims and fasteners may have been purchased new from a fabric store or pulled out of a stash, or even repurposed from an older garment. The beads look like they are attached to a braided backing, aka gimp or guimp. Glass beads would suggest no later than 1960s to me, but again, the trim could be that old without the dress being that old.

The small holes look like they were eaten not by moths, but by whatever was in the liquid that caused the stains.

Thank you for your reply Maggie.
I had an idea it wasn't genuine 1920s - I have a couple of original 20s dresses and this one just doesn't have the same look or "feel" to it.
I think the bead trim is quite old but as you say, it could have been taken from an older garment.
Interesting about the holes, I just assumed they were moth damage but if the liquid stain caused it I wonder what on earth it could have been - battery acid?!!
