Vintage 50s Sarong Dress Pattern UNCUT to benefit Haiti!

I find myself inspired by Maggie from Denisebrain's generous auction of her own Haitian purse to benefit the earthquake devastated country. See thread

Although I have nothing from Haiti, I do have this very rare 1950's Butterick Sarong Dress with Bolero Pattern. This beauty is uncut, factory folded with the original instructions and a gorgeous envelope. This is the star of my vintage pattern collection, and as hard as it is to part with, I know it will do more good as an auction for charity than sitting in a box.

If you'd like to add her to your collection or use her to make a honey of a dress, check out OUR AUCTION! 100% of the proceeds are going to GlobalGiving Relief Fund for Haiti

I'm going to feature this and Maggie's handbag in a blog post tomorrow, so if anyone else is doing a fund raiser for Haiti, please let me know so I can include you.

Amber - I did my bit and got a bid in!

Lizzie, I just did a very simple blog post with a link to more information and ways to donate. I also added a link in the permanent side bar for donations, too.

Hollis

Fantastic! Thanks Hollis! I just took a look at your blog and love the call to help!

Maggie, thanks again for the inspiration. It made me realize that even though I don't have a lot of funds right now to donate, that there are other ways to go about it. Oh and if I had the $$ to spend on a new purse your Haiti purse would be the one! It is ADORABLE!!

I've made my blog post, and spelled out another way for you to make a small donation. I will donate $1 for every blog comment made on my blog between 1-13 and Wednesday, the 20th. So far, it is up to $40.

Yes, and a new blog post on rudeness...

Don't forget, both Hollis and I will donate a dollar for each post, and we are up to about 75 posts or $150!
