Vintage Hat

Hi I'm fairly new to this but I'm trying to find the material of this hat...its soft and seems to have natural fibers(hairs)...sheared beaver perhaps? Any help id-ing this would be super.

That's a classic hat. It is made of felt. To be specific, it is made of fur felt. Most felts are made from wool or from fur fibers, with the fur felts being the better quality and more expensive. Your felt is imported from Europe, and could be made from a variety (or a mix) of different animals such as rabbit, nutria, beaver, or some other small mammal.
