  2. Sunny, according to the original description that the maker, Decoeyes, used for this mannequin, Eda is a "precise replica of a 1940s department store display bust that was molded directly from a vintage model and she is absolutely beautiful with that great 40's, holier than thou, attitude". The owner of Decoeyes, Jerry, molded these heads from antique ones that he collected over the years and often borrowed from others who owned the authentic vintage pieces to make his molds. Jerry was originally a dentist before he established his business, Decoeyes. He has since passed away, sadly. I think that Eda looks like Barbie, too, and being as she's from a 40's mannequin, here's an interesting thought. Ruth Handler, the inventor of Barbie, along with her husband had the company in the 40s known as Elzac of Hollywood. Today many jewelry collectors adore the ceramic pins made by their company and a good number of those pins certainly look a great deal like what later became Barbie! Especially the those famous eyes that Ruth gave to Barbie. Here is an article that a friend, Jacqueline Rehmann, wrote about the company and Ruth Handler....."Before There was Barbie, There was Elzac":
