    Hi there,

I have had a search but cannot figure out if these jeans are vintage or from their LVC line? I thought vintage Levis were made in the USA before 2002. This pair is made in Turkey and has the cardboard patch with a silky type of material for the inner label which has information on the material, care instructions and country of manufacture. When do you think these are made?

Thank you so much in advance!

Thank you so much for your message. I have come across that article but I'm finding it difficult to date due to it being made in Turkey, which is throwing me off.

I believe Levi’s signed their first licensing agreement with Turkey in the late 1980’s so your jeans would not be any older than that.
Beyond that you would have to look at all the manufacturing details.
    Hope this helps a little.

This is just my take... but I usually associate care labels printed in so many languages with modern items.

According to this, the European division of Levi Strauss in Belgium was founded in 1983.

Thank you both so much for the information! It is quite confusing! Based on this information, I would guess that these were made somewhere between the 80s to 2000s?

2802 - It seems to be a pair from 2002.
I have no idea what the 28- represents, some say it signifies the week of manufacturing. However, I own a pair that has 5296 stamped on the care label and if my math serves me correctly, there are only roughly 48 weeks in a year so there goes that theory.

There are 52 weeks in a year, so the theory is still ok!
