Vintage Linens experts - Cannon question

I hesitate to post this here, as it's not 'fashion', per se but I've seen some similar questions asked in the past so here goes. I picked up these hand towels at an estate sale and am having a difficult time pinning them down, date-wise. The applique poodles scream 50's to me but they are in such clean condition that I feel that they may be later- maybe 80's? The tag says 'ALL COTTON', 'MADE IN USA', 'CANNON'. Please see the pics below.

Thanks! They are pretty similar, just a slightly different tag. Maybe it's just their photos, I can't tell for sure, but the texture of the poodles looks a little off as well.

I'll have to look more into this tag on what I have. I'd hate to try to sell them as mid century when their really a bit more recent..
