Vintage Louis Vuitton Purse Questions

Hi VF - I'm a vinyl record lover and hunt thrift stores for records, but this was behind the counter and it caught my eye. It's approximately 8 x 10 x 2, magnetic clasp closure, tan piping, inside zip pocket. It's made of vinyl (no not the record kind), white with pink diamond shapes into blue rectangle and purple. It's a really cool looking bag. I want to give it to my wife for her b day on July 2nd, but was curious to find out any provenance on it. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I totally get the authentication factor. I was just looking to get an idea about when it was and and honestly, if it was real. I suspect it is. What makes you think it's a newer bag and how new? TY - Michael
