Well, picked this up at the flea market . . . nice 1980's vintage Christian Dior wool coat with black velvet accents in a very military/naval inspired decor. I love the embroidered epaulettes and 'CD' logo gold buttons! :)

Hopefully this will do well for fall! Thoughts?

    :hiya: Tiff!

i REALLY REALLYl ike this one! Military influence is supposedly big for fall (but big with me all the time), so I am sure you will do well with it.

    I see dollar signs.

Hey there! Hehe, yes the sporadic participant of VFG has returned ;)

Thanks for the imput! It really is a nice quality piece.

I've noticed that military is en vogue for fall too (though seeing as I have a small collection of real and faux military wears myself, I agree with you - it's always in for me!)

If you like military, take a look at my auctions as I have a very nice Ralph Lauren Blue Label red military blazer up for grabs at the moment. :)

I am usually strictly navy blue or black when it comes to military look..but that is a really nice red jacket!!!

Misses sizes are usually too long/long torsoed for me, but i'll get out the ol' measuring tape and check out some other jackets i have to see how far off i am....

  5. Tiff, this is going to bring you some BIG BUCK!! Not only is it military, but it is black and everyone is dressing in all black for Fall. I am sure you have plenty of military inspired scans but here is one I have.
