I don't think I've posted this photo and thought you would enjoy it.
My DIL's father worked at Wanamaker's--one of many stores that Macy's ate.

I grew up just outside of Philadelphia. Every December my mother would take my sister and I into the Philadelphia Wanamakers to see the Christmas Light Show, eat at the tea room, and ride this train around the top edge of the toy department.

The photos of Christmas at Wanamaker's are fabulous. I worked at Famous Barr in St. Louis and we always had a great Christmas exhibit--but not train. C

Same here. I even remember the train! I'm definitely dating myself!

Thanks for sharing. I never went to Wannamakers at Christmas time, so this is a treat to see.
Although, as a sales person, I dont think I i would have wanted that train over my head.
