This reminds me a bit of when I was given (!!!) the contents of a dry cleaning business that closed. There were a few wedding dresses that were never picked up because of the expense of dry cleaning I suppose. Also there were lots of badly soiled garments that couldn't be cleaned. Nothing "NWT" like this purchase.

Surprising how many of these wedding gowns would have just been lent to the store and no one come back for them. It appears as though many may have simply been donated. She is a very kind woman to take the time to try her best to give them back...it must have come as a shock to find all these vintage pieces.
