Just listed these babies! The blue are a size 6 1/2 The brown one are a size 7, and a little different as they are sling backs! Both pairs of the original box and the blue ones still had the advertising paper inside. I hope I am correct saying these are late 50's or early 60's??!?!!?
The graphics on the package look 60s to me, but wait for the experts to come along. I can't see the lady well enough to really tell from her clothes.
Those were my thoughts exactly, but I am not sure that the cardboard advertisement was necessarily from the same time frame. They probably made these for years and since "my" old store was partially a shoe store the ad could have been from a different time frame than these particlular shoes. Some of the others I have listed are summerettes and are definately 60's, but they dont have the wedge heel and platform. These ones are from Ball Band which a lot of 40's galoshes were made by and if I am not mistaken that logo ended in the early 60's. Maybe Jonathan will stop by!
Duh! Of course the shoes don't match the photos at all. I guess i didn't take my dunce cap off last night.
they are lovely! i'm never sure what size i am in US shoes, i think 7.5 (i'm a uk 5.5) but i may try and be a 7 on this occasion...i usually have a bit of leeway with slingbacks!:D
HMMMM....The blue ones are to die for........Must have......... Hubby says that I have more shoes then a supermodel. Told him that I must have a pair of shoes for every outift. Of course, reality steps in when 3 little kiddos start wearing my shoes around the house!!!! Jamie
Well I worked a little magic! I have these on another thread a size 8 1/2 and a size 7. They are made of a shimmering textured fabric!!
