Please give a warm VFG welcome to Alan Alcott of @Alley Ascot - "Respectable Attire for Responsible People", out of Syracuse New York!
Alley stated: "I specialize in men's tailored apparel including contemporary garments that have distinctive vintage appeal and/or traditional styling cues from a better bygone era.
I try to get my hands on as many vintage garments as possible and have sold everything from Jazz Age tuxedos to Disco Era three-piece suits, women's fabulous 50's fur hats to Vietnam War era US Navy pea coats, as well men's vintage footwear including boots and exotic leathers. I'm keen on garments that reflect what I like to call "The British Sporting Life," enjoy singing the praises of a bespoke garment, love selling vintage work wear, and take 60's "Rat Pack" and "Rockabilly Kool Kat" looks to heart.
I'm truly all about the garment itself... with hugely accurate descriptions, tons of details, and some 10-12 professional photos.
But I also follow another credo. It's one I adopted from the 60's Madison Avenue advertising "Mad Men" era: "Sell the SIZZLE. Not the steak." So my descriptions almost always try to capture the "aura" of a garment and what it "represents."
You can find his shop on eBay

You can find him on Facebook
I don't know what I like better, his vintage posts or his foodie posts!

He is also a stylist, and you can view his portfolio on Model Mayhem
