Please welcome to our newest VFG member Julia Whitfield @joolswhitfield aka Jools!
We are pleased to welcome Jools Whitfield to the Vintage Fashion Guild!
Based in the UK, Jools is a dedicated collector, author, and curator with a deep expertise in 1950s and 1960s Mod fashion. Her passion for vintage fashion spans decades—both as a wearer and researcher—and her contributions to the industry are truly remarkable.
Jools is the author of Club à GoGO, a book exploring the Mod styles of the 1960s youth, and she has curated exhibitions celebrating Mod culture, including one of Newcastle Library’s most visited exhibits. Her work extends beyond fashion history—she successfully lobbied Newcastle Council for a heritage plaque at the legendary Club a’Gogo, home to The Animals. Additionally, she has lectured on fashion history to students in both Newcastle and Manchester, sharing her extensive research and knowledge.
With an enduring commitment to documenting and preserving the artistry of fashion, Jools brings valuable insights to the VFG community. We look forward to her contributions and expertise as part of our guild!
