Day 7 Out Of 9
We had three donations totaling $40 yesterday, plus another very interesting one. The 4th person pledged 10% of her sales earnings for November!! I remember we had one of those two years ago, and we earned $40 from it!! For the purpose of the thermometer, we'll call that donation $10. It may be less, and it very likely will be more!!
With three days to go, we are at 85% of our goal, and hope for $309 more to meet our goal. I know it won't be easy. Times are tough and we may all feel "spent out". We have to keep food on the table, so we might not make our goal. That's okay, and we are grateful for ALL you have given.
In case you have a little extra, please know we have done everything we possibly can to keep costs down. I know from having been Treasurer for two years, and doing things like negotiating down our lawyer charges. I know from watching our magnificent treasurer, Victoria/Vintagiality, do so much to question every expenditure. (She's the bomb, and a bank vice-president in "real life"!!).
So, if you have a tiny bit extra, please consider donating now. A recurring, monthly donation of $5 gives us $60/year, and THAT'S a lot of money. THANK YOU.

Janine, can you tell us how many of the donors have been non-members? I know the donor of 10% of earnings for November is a non-member. I can't tell you how gratifying it is to hear from people how much the VFG is needed and appreciated!
The VFG’s label & fabric resources are probably some of the most visited spots on the internet! The information they provide has been essential to running my business.
The VFG is a bit different from the orgs I usually support but they’re currently fundraising and are an indispensable and FREE resource for vintage lovers, collectors and sellers like me and you!

From a quick run-through, 11 have been from non-members. I counted that just from my knowledge people paying dues coming in every year. So, the "margin of error is + or -2...

I have been so blessed to be a part of this organization, I want to give back a little more! I recently found these linen pieces in a box of items from my recent vintage haul. I am in love with them and thought they might be good incentive for donating! Anyone who donates between now and the end of the drive will be entered in a drawing to win these lovely embroidered and stitched linens. They each measure 19 1/2" x 11" and are made of crisp ivory linen. I will mail to the winner! I may even throw in some more goodies just for good measure! Let's finish strong!

Thanks so much, Carrie! Some lucky donor will get a great little treasure. We're very close to reaching our goal now. The fundraiser for this year is a very special one as we are celebrating 20 glorious years of our organization. I say "our" because it does belong to all of us, whether you are actually a member or a visiting guest to the Forums. One thing that we all have in common.....we appreciate what Vintage Fashion Guild does for all of us and we LOVE Vintage Fashion. We are very close. And, in the next few days, please consider making that donation that you have been thinking about donating. It is so important and vital to keeping Vintage Fashion alive and well for our next 20 years. And, we can do it because we have so many good people who will help us to get to our goal.

by the way, if you have a facebook presence for your business? and/or instagram? you can (and should!) be sharing the VFG fundraiser posts to your own pages, too! you never know who might be seeing the promo for the first time and want to help by donating!
