What Do I Do With This Dress?

Searching the wiki isn't easy, I agree! In case of Vogue Paris Original, the number of patterns thankfully relatively limited, so I just started clicking through the links, thankfully this has a low number so it was a fast find :).

I've never found it easy to find patterns this way either.
That's good to know, I thought it was just me! I found the link and was hopeful at first, but just couldn't seem to fathom how to find it and thought I was doing something wrong. Maybe I'll take a pic and upload it on here sometime. I've got a bit of a bee in my bonnet about wanting to know who designed it...

That was lucky it was a low number, but still fantastic that you tracked it down!
Knowing me, my coat will be a high number... When I get a chance, I'll take a pic and upload it on here...

There are instructions in one of the vintage fashion groups on facebook on how to search the pattern wiki for design elements and such based on “intersections”. I have never been successful myself because frankly I am not very good with the terminology used but some of you may be interested. I will try to find the instructions and post them here

UPDATE: Here is the doc with the instructions

Lovely find! I've found your pattern - it's Vogue Paris Original 1017 by Nina Ricci: https://vintagepatterns.fandom.com/wiki/Vogue_1017_A - the wide belt was separate, in the pattern sleeve illustration, the version with short sleeves is shown without the belt. Check out the links on the wiki page for some more images.

You just made my day! Thanks so much for taking the time to find this specific pattern, along with the other info you've provided! Have a great day! :)))
