What would you say about this whole design pattern (suit)?

This suit is wrecking havoc on my photoshop program and my camera! I am probably going to scrap it all and retake photos and start anew.

it is 60s..at least that's what i would safely put my money on...mid perhaps....it has two pockets in the skirt part of the dress. not high on the hip as in modern jeans but slightly more low and to the center. i didn't even know they were there at first. I was going to go with the angle of using them together or using the jacket also solo for the whole short jacket thing that is going on right now. it also appears...though if so it was done by an absolute expert...that this could have been shortened at one time by around 4". jacket is lined in white satin (seamed like an odd color choice to me with the color combo.

How exactly would one describe this whole pattern - to me the skirt pattern has an ever so slight hint or suggestion of modgeometricism to it...

when i found it, i thought it was very intriguing to say the least : ) i am "saving" this for the september VTA. i can pretty sure guarantee no one will show up for the same suit : ) hee hee.

no tags to give me any further clues.

thoughts? comments? tomato throwing? : )

Monochrome Mod Mosaic? Looks kind of like tiling...

The bodice is baffling - kind of like a painted-rope print or textured wire or something.
Hmmm. (hand over baton to next poster)

Digital cameras just don't know what to make of patterns like that ~ it's so hard to come up with something that doesn't vibrate!

The hexagonal pattern looks like tiling to me too. The bodice pattern reminds me of the kind of textured galvanized metal that's used for industrial flooring!

mosiac tile is good for the skirt and jacket........I'm seeing
tadpoles (actually thought of something else first :D ) on the
bodice.

It definitely is an eye-popper (in the literal sense of the
word). I would go with Mod, Geo in the title - not sure what else.

i just didn't know if there was a proper term and i was just ignorant of it.
...I have some sort of blinders - i can never find polka dots and paisleys...its always the indescribable. the strange thing is..i am seeing the tile when i focus on the darker section in the skitrt, but if you focus on the lighter color, you see a grid with little rings in each corner as connectors.. like an optical illusion. oh, my eyes are really having trouble focusing now LOL.

I think this suit would benefit from being taken outside and photographed in indirect sun to get better lighting..for exactly the agitation factor that Carolyn has mentioned. hopefully it is "reading" that its a deep chocolate, not black, and the lighter color has just a small touch of mocha or beige ...its not pure white.

Oh, on my monitor it looks like ivory and very, very dark brown.

Op art did cross my mind. But alas it is not tweed. I do have a blue tweed jacket though with a tie waist.

I like that...but of course i am not using that as i am sure that Tinkertoy will be a no no . but i may mention it in the description : )
 
So Leisa, they have escaped from the skirt and are swimming all over the bodice...

Not weird Hollis...it sounds quite a bit more refined and sophisticated than what was in my head. so it can be both wacky and elegant at the same time...

I agree with Linda on the op-art... after staring at the patterns for a few seconds while thinking, I definately noticed the patterns swimming about infront of my eyes. LOL!

They're all quite geometric patterns I guess... and geometric is a word that always goes down well in modette fashion..
