Collectible Fabric by Rose and Hubble of a William Morris Wallpaper print . The artist passed away in 1934, so the original print precedes the mid 30s. Its a now out of print cotton fabric.

I just wanted to share it. It is going up tonight along with some vintage sewing books and fabrics etcetera on ebay.

gorgeous! I have a book on William Morris... his prints are so recognizable - don't know if it is the colours used, the subject matter, the composition or a combination of everything.

Hope this does well for you!

This was actually done by another artist for the William Morris company. I like the Morris prints because there is so much precise detail. every leaf is carefully rendered..its not just a brush stroke blob or a "suggestion" like a lot of other prints i have seen. the colors i think just seem balanced. some companies would have done this in 3-10 different colorways with only 1 or maybe 2 of them really looking "right", the rest would be just altered to go with a decor and they wouldn't survive solo. I remember when i was in the furniture biz, there were different colorways of fabric and one would be breathtaking...1 would be pleasant and the rest would be "did they look at this before they made it?"

WHat's the name of that book?
