    Hello,
This is a polyester shirt which I am assuming is from the 1980s. Is there a name for this type of shirt?
    Thanks alot,
    Lauren

That could be 70s. The pattern and poly together - oh yeah. Body conscious fit, too

    Hi,

Very cool shirt! The collar is not quite wide enough (to me) for a 70's shirt, but it fits the bill for the disco look anyway.

Thanks everyone. In my preliminary research to find a 'type' for it, looking up 'mens lace shirt', I bumped into the term Guayabera wedding shirt and wondered if this was some variant. At any rate, mens lacey shirts are making a come back on 'the runways'...also bumped into this:
    Men’s Lace and Sheer Fashion

If you think sheer fashion is only limited to Spring 2010 and women, then think again. Men are taking it through spring 2011, making it Spring 2011 men’s sheer fashion trends. Boys at Etro Spring 2011 runway were wearing sexy lace shirts which were almost transparent.

A man has to be seriously buff to carry off that look!

It wouldn't be Guayabera; that's a very specific type of garment.

Shirts such as this, forgive me, are sometimes referred to as pimp shirts.
    The style is rather louche.

Ha Ha Ha....we could blend all the 'disreputable' accessories and come up with quite a look. Reminds me of the corespondent shoes discussion from another post.

    Lauren,

My first thoughts exactly! Wonder if this will effect the people who are paying $350.00 for a cloth baseball cap with his name on it? You know, the ones that would normally sell for $24.99 at K-Mart? So who is the real fool in a case like this....him...or the people who are making him rich?

Oh, there I go again...being critical. Can't help it in this case.
