Okay... I just got married on Aug. 21st. My New mother & Father inlaws just past down a cool family tradition. They gave me this:<p><img src="http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/1950spinup/The_Ring0001.jpg" width=184 height=391>
But I will have to give to to my daughter-iin-law when they marry (and this will not be for a long time)
It is a beautiful Platinum 1 carot center cut with 16 small diamonds. All the diamonds are FLAWLESS!!! and to boot. It is vintage.. My favorite:D

Just wanted to show it to some people that can appreciate vintage jewlery.

Holy cow, Adrianne! Stunning, simply stunning. It gives me goosebumps just looking at it!

I wear my Grandma's rings as my own wedding set. I love them. That makes them even more precious.

It is pure platinum.. I have to get the prongs re-done and appraised before I can wear it any more. But I sure love it!
 
You are lucky Adrianne I had to wait till my in laws were dead before I got any of the family jewelry. I gave my daughter a diamond ring that I found in my MIL box and my son in law had taken it to a jeweler had it put in a new setting and had it appraised ( I fell over ) $8,000 and then asked her to marry him all a surprise and she couldn't have been happier. she is wearing her grandmothers ring as her engagement ring and thats special to her.
