    Hi all!

I'm curious about the year of these red silk slippers. Leather sole, wood covered heel, kid leather lining with a name in very ornate script that I cannot read. They are quite damaged but darling all the same. 1 teeny tiny silk jersey glove inside the shoe.

    curved 1 inch heel.
    Insole measures 8 inches.

Those ARE darling! They look to be late Victorian to me, maybe 1890s.

Beautiful color...how sweet with the one matching glove. One of those finds you would like to hear the story about.

  4. They remind me of these kid shoes that I have from 1902.

Although, yours may be a little earlier. Darling

1880s - the round toe, shaped heel, small buckle and multiple bow are all typical - as is the colour - garnet, which was really popular mid-late 188os.
