Yves Saint Laurent Scarf

Discussion in 'PUBLIC Vintage Fashion Q & A' started by Annata Italia, Aug 31, 2012.

  1. Hi there

I picked this scarf up at a market last week, and would like some opinions on authenticity and if its real, a possible age?

It may not even be vintage, in which case apologies...having quite a bit of trouble finding out anything about it!

It is genuine silk, hems are rolled and appear to be hand stitched. No other labels present, and as its quite plain in design I guess this makes it more difficult to identify?

    Any help much appreciated!

  2. It appears to be authentic.
Generally, most of the counterfeit designer scarves will not be in silk and hand rolled..
However I have seen fake Hermes in silk so that's one to watch out for.

  3. Thanks so much for getting back to me. It does feel like a quality scarf, but I know that counterfeiters are getting more sophisticated so didn't want to assume.
    Thanks!
