hi, I'm just wondering if anyone knowledgeable on zips could give me some help. I have a '50s' skirt that to all intents and purposes looks perfect for it's time period. The selvedge info on the fabric confirms the fabric is definitely from the 50s, it's the right style and on and on but... It has a nylon zip. The zip does not appear to be a replacement but did nylon zips get used in the 50s ever? It's a lightning zip if that's any help and the actual zip pull is metal, but the teeth are not, it's a bit stiff too. I've tried googling but I only get nylon or metal not this combo of the two. Thanks
