help dating paris novelty print top

    any help dating this piece would be appreciated. it appears to be handmade, some color bleed around underarms. could this be silk?

    also, could the buttons be bakelite? does anyone know the material?

    How cute is THAT?!

    I would say 40s and silk or rayon for the material. You can test the buttons for bakelite by spraying a Q-Tip with bakelite and rubbing one. If the tip turns yellow then it's bakelite.

    That print is amazing.
