As nice as the photo is with you in it or whom ever, come on, more photos of the jacket, back front, lining, buttons.

Initially it looks late 30s to me, looks lovely.

Another photo of the label, flatter if possible.

I hate admitting defeat but my searching has drawn a complete blank I'm afraid. Sorry :-(

Can you tell us what the label says exactly. It’s a bit hard to read

Oh wow, looks stunning on you! Initial impression is 30s-40s but more info needed as suggested. So many experts here they will be sure so narrow it down.

I can see something else written under Bette, as well ending in Ltd. and the actual address 6, Ridley Place.
It looks 1940s to me, swing era.

I’m actually a little in love with this jacket keep coming back to look at it. Is it wool crepe?

I think it just says (of Newcastle) Ltd - or something like that.

I saw this to but is it " Of Newcastle Ltd" or "Newcastle Ltd".

I looked up both, a fair number of past Newcastle Ltd but I could find nothing associated with Bette.

I saw that photo too but I think that would have been across the street.
This is what I have discovered thus far had been located at 6 Ridley Place. Unfortunately nothing of Bette just yet

1827 John Brown solicitor and magistrate’s clerk

    Bannister & Co 1866 and 1867

    1879 Carnegie & Gullachsen upholsterers

1896 1900 Thomas Boydell engine telegraphs

195o until at least 1961 R Waugh LtdArt supplies (edit: the art supplies I had previously was apparently the same as R Waugh)

    1966 Bacons

Sometime between Engine Telegraphs and Art Supplies, our Bette was there, doing fabulous tailoring.

Wonder what engine telegraphs are exactly?
