Very sweet! - and sounds like he fell on his feet with you. Poor little guy, I'm so glad you're giving him a happy home after a rough beginning. :clapping:
Sound advice from Carol - the completed auctions search is really helpful, and it will give you the whole spectrum. It might be worth checking the label resource too for CD and see if you recognise the label at all too. :)
Oh, Lin and Jonathan I WANT your dresses too!! I have loads more, and will take some pics tomorrow if I can, I did mean to but it's been really busy around here.
That's a real shame Jamie, but I suppose you avoided all this at least. Weddings seem to make even the most normal of people a little crazy, and even my usually laid back (so much so I may as well be asleep occasionally, or so I've been told - is that an insult? LOL!) persona got a little bit...
i agree on date, and think it's pretty cool! Is it a lurex thread?
I'd think Bullock's would be searched, and could you use op-art circles, or maybe geometric?
I'm terrible with keywords as is blatantly apparent here - but I'm sure someone will be able to help more! :D
Wish I knew more Anne - I don't often happen across Hawaiiana and am not really that up to speed on dating. I agree on the 60s barkloth and the 70s exec one - lost on the Primo one I'm afraid!
I found it all quite odd to start with, but I think that that's because it's the first time in my life that fashion has done it's full 'cycle' (or that I've really noticed it doing so)!
I suppose it's not all bad - there were some good looks and some bad looks as with any era.. Saying that I...
Ditto on the label - is it just the saks label, or is there another designer label hidden anywhere (i.e. in the skirt seam)
It's really pretty - and it's good that it has the original price tag! :)
I think it should be fairly simple Patti (although this is coming from someone who hasn't!) - my friend has no sewing skills whatsoever and she made one up for a wedding she was going to quite simply and quickly if I remember.
I don't have a pattern but I can imagine you would just need a...
It always makes me think of you actually Lin, lol! I know how much you like your prints. I think my favourite was the medieval knights? Was that yours? I have a really weird/garish scarecrow one I must take a snap of, I might try to later but it's hectic here today..
Cool shoes! I have a pair nearly identical to the top pair - must go looking for them now you've jogged my memory!
I use hide cream on leather goods - I got mine from the supermarket's polish section, but an equine/saddlery place would have something similar to make them supple as I think...
I'm pretty fed up it didn't fit actually! (Sorry, I didn't realise the 2nd pic was so huge!) I was going to put it on my website - nearly finished it! - but am stuck pricing it! :puzzled:
I really like this, but I also like the less serious [can't think of right word... accurate?] prints...
Excellent Jim! What a nice write up. The street fashion shots are great too, that's always something i enjoy reading in Vogue etc., when they go to a big city and pull over all the cool people to photograph their style...
I know lots of us here have a thing for novelty prints, and it's been a while since I saw everyone's latest finds. Here's one I just photographed that I am pretty in love with, but sadly it's too teeny for me :(
But here it is anyway!
Found anything fun lately you'd care to share...
