OMG, forever... at least 10 hours, probably 15 or more. I didn't watch the clock because for much of it I was either lost in thought or trying not to bleed on a non-cleanable part. I think it might go more quickly next time, now that I know what NOT to do, and also, I'd use a better hat with...

Is there any evidence at the interior shoulder that pads had been there but were removed? Once the fad for huge shoulders passed, people often removed them (thus, the ubiquitous "drawer full of shoulder pads."
The fabric is totally 80s, as is the zipper placement at center back. A 40s peplum...
Call it a chemisette and a dickie. Both are used and are good search terms. Not only were they popular in the 30s and 40s, they were also worn under jackets and certain V-front dresses in the Edwardian era, teens, and 20s. AND... there are even some from the mid-19th century, too. They've been...

All silk, including the velvet ribbon
Cotton or possibly silk/cotton lace.
All embroidery is wool.
Filled with sand (perhaps the emery variety that sharpens pins) possibly mixed with straw.

As for the label resource, the dates given refer to the item the label was found in. The same label could have been used for several decades, or portions of various decades, of course. If there are no additional labels shown...

My mom had a 22" waist before I came along. She's blamed me ever since, LOL. "You done had a baby, Ms. Scah-lett..."
The weirdest thing I've noticed is that even "high-waist" modern trousers and panties don't reach the actual waist! And no, I don't have a particular tall rise. They're still at...
The cream color looks like silk chiffon or georgette. Ah... Nicole says the same I now see. Possibly rayon. Is there any of that fabric in a hidden part of the dress? If so, you could use some of it to create a backing for the torn parts, to stabilize and camouflage them. If not, you can just...
Many of her dresses are 3-D printed. Or at least the "fabric" is. I have an annotated photo album from the exhibit, here --> http://bit.ly/IrisvanHerpenExhibit
