we'll probably list these on Ruby Lane or maybe Etsy this week

i'll post some ads and interior images later...

Those are great! I never see these around anymore. I especially love the Thelma Todd cover. Poor Thelma, they called her "Hot Toddy" in her day and she was a bit scandalous, a bit on the promiscuous side and died under very mysterious circumstances. Remember her in the Marx brothers movies?

Thanks for sharing those. Beautiful graphics.

thanks, guys! they're so fun!!

Thelma Todd is gorgeous, isn't she? i think the cover would be fabulous matted and framed, but the magazine is (well both of them are, actually) so immaculate and in such fabulous condition that i'm going to leave as found.

here, check out this Pabst Blue Ribbon beer ad, on the inside cover: her outift! her shoes! the colors! the graphics!!

only the front and back covers are color, the rest of the magazine is all black and white. This is the inside back cover:

it's neat, because there are images of men in this issue, too, which might be helpful in dating garments.

check out this romper/playsuit/swimsuit:

this shot of Jean Harlow reminds me of our very own, Angela of Proper Vintage!

LOVE this stuff. Look at the shoes and socks she is wearing to ride the bike. And the ad for ironized yeast is wonderful. Today it would be just the opposite - that would be a "before" photo for a full-figured gal who wanted to lose weight. They had it right in the 30's didn't they? The gal in the hair remover ad is quite voluptuous as well.

and here are a couple shots that have long dresses/gowns:

this is Johnny Weissmuller (Tarzan), Adrienne Ames, Lupe Velez (Mrs. W), Mrs. Gary Cooper, G C and Bruce Cabot.
