Averardo Bessi dress with water stain and color run...how to fix?

I found a gorgeous Averardo Bessi dress yesterday...my first! Then I saw a large water stain on the fabric and a lot of color run from the pink sections. Is this fixable?

The label states dry clean only - do you have a very trustworthy dry cleaner near you (not just a laundry service)? They might be able to repair the damage.
 
This looks like a very difficult case to me. Not sure what you can do. There is a product that is supposed to help color bleed it's called Carbona Color Run removal. I have never used it, so I cannot vouch for it. You can look it up online and read reviews and see if it might help. If you do give it a try please let us know what happened.
 
MJ's right: it's a difficult case. Colour run removers require washing, and laundering this garment will likely expose it to more damage. Also colour run removers need to be applied as soon as possible after the run, preferably whilst the garment is still wet.

Your stains have likely been there for some time, which will make it harder too. I recommend taking the garment to a specialist and seek their advice, a textile conservator or restorer.

If the garment was a lost cause you could try your luck with laundering but it's likely to do more harm than good: it's a risk. Vintage printed silks are prone to running when washed (as someone has done here) and it's also hard to get stains out of silk.

I have used Carbona but not on anything like this. I am really nervous about touching this staining and will probably just list "as is". Thank you for your reply!

Thank you for that advice! I will look for a textile restorer in my area and see what can be done. If nothing else, I will just list this "as is".
 
I found this old thread looking for help with colour run on a lovely vintage printed top my mum put in the wash for me :( She was convinced it was ruined when the spin cycle covered the white fabric with purple blotches from its print. I searched across the internet for help and found this thread. My top is not silk but a fine printed cotton mesh type thing. I washed it with a bit of detergent and warm water, rinsed when the water turned purple, repeat a few times worked for me. Not perfect but much much better. Posting for anyone else out there who's ruined some beautiful vintage. Don't give up hope and don't soak it in some weird chlorine product until you've tried washing it out delicately xo
