Dating costumes by rhinestones, sequins and zippers?

I came across a box of old costumes. Can anyone help date them by the construction and embellishment? Thanks in advance! Trish

You might have better luck researching zippers. The Talon zipper in the close up looks like it might be 1940's, but a better photo showing it in its entirety will help date it accurately.

The Mummers should parade through Burning Man! Now THAT would be a sight. Pretty cool, actually. They would have a lot of competition for outrageous costumes.
