It's Mother's Day for 45 countries (I looked it up) so I guess I can say Happy Mother's Day to many!

Let's celebrate those who are mothers, and those who have been most nurturing in our lives, whether or not the connection is biological.

I woke up today thinking abut my mother. We lost her 12 years ago today. Here she is all dressed up vintage for a local musical theater production of "High Button Shoes". I forget the date, maybe mid to late 1960s. Can you guess that she made the hat herself? And her name is Millie! She definitely gave me my love of hats from an early age. She was my best friend as well as the best mom anyone could ask for.
