Help Please....updated pics OMG!

I need your help guys...I have two outfits sorted for my 50th (girls only) meal a few days before the day...I can't decide...

l put on both outfits for my daughter

first the red rose 50s style Betty Jackson wiggle dress, plunge neck and vintie pink cashmere 50s cardi (which I bought from Chris at listit) and LK Bennet pointy sling backs and she liked it but thought I could do better...(I suppose the big print enhances the booty!)

so l have another summer dress l havent yet worn, a bias cut, off white polka dot on taupey colour, spaghetti straps, which is i guess more flattering...but any cardi i wear with it, dresses it down, and looks more mother of the bride dowdy!

SO I would to wear it with my purple rose silk cardigan, l love to clash prints and colours, its very me....Sus thinks its the cardi is too much...l have brown patent gladiator wedge shoes too!! l'm a uk 16

what do you guys think please......l'm about to give up....!!! I have another week shold l go out and trya gain...l know l'm gonna end up wearing a top and trousers or jeans..

I like the rose print with the pink cardi. These floral prints are very hot right now, and you'll see alot of them on the runways for fall too. You'll look very hip!
 
remember l'm in the provincial grungey north west, (where everyone dresses up sat nite and l would describe the style as 'fur coat no knickers, so really classy then LOL!)

and l'm going to a Mexican restaurant for the evening for fun....we've said we'll dress up, ie not casual....maybe when sus retruns home tomorrow, l'll put them on so you can see...!?
 
I love them both! I vote for whichever makes you feel most sensational. When's the big day?

I like em both. But heck, you deserve it, you could go out and splurge on something just for the event if those just don't hit the mark for you!
 
Crikey, who'd have thought it would be so hard, I bought the red rose especially 2 months ago....and the taupey one just for the summer, cos it was on sale....

My birthday isn't till 9th and we will be at Cowes, IOW, so as there won't be any celebration....I decided to arrange a meal at a fun place and 10 female work colleagues and 10 female friends and family (the in laws) will be coming, including my 16 yr old daughter and her best friend....if I don't mark the event (50) then l feel like l'll be absorbed by a dark hovering cloud and I want to make this a positive event, as l am very glass half empty right now....

thanks for the advice....I will get pics of me in them tomorrow evening. .. And maybe next week l will have another look around the shops, as l'm having new hair colour and trim (am even thinking about a tatoo to mark the event, and l am sooo not a tattoo person.....what the heck ).... from Monday l'm off work pretty much until 1 Sept (bar 4 days work)...yeah!!
 
i like them both, too, Sara, but particularly like the polka dots/purple best, too

plus, i have found that large flowers directly on my hips is not a good thing anymore...:no:

but i'm sure you look marvelous in both!!:kiss2:
 
I LOVE LOVE LOVE number ONE and would wear it in a hot second, with the most gigantic cartwheel straw hat I could find.
 
blimey guys, talk about split down the middle..l shall go try take a pic of myself in them both, though not at the same time..LOL
 
OMG allowing for white legs, 14lb weight gain, no make up or hairdo, l think l look crap! jeez the red one is too short and too big a pattern, l fell into the trap of buying a dress cos its lovely not cos it'd suit me...and the other is ok... IF l cant find anything else l guess....trousers and baggy top l think for me!! bugger!
