    I Do!

Wedding season is here and there is no mistaking the allure of vintage wedding attire for the modern couple. Both bride and groom can time travel to their favorite era to show the world their love for each other, and for sustainable and enchanting vintage style.

    Something old? I do!

1970s high-waisted wedding dress pattern Simplicity 9260 - this is one of my favourite vintage wedding dress patterns, love the "Juliet" style with the balloon sleeves!

    Burda 27201_1.jpg
1970s weddin dress pattern Burda 27201 - this one has an interesting high-waisted shape as well, and interesting styling ideas from prairie-style dress to elegant!

    Mccalls 3329_1.jpg
1970s wedding dress pattern McCalls 3329 - this one has all the ruffles and lace!

    Simplicity 9009_4.jpg
1980s Jessica McClintock for Gunne Sax wedding dress pattern - floofy, big 1980s!

    Neue Mode 22532_1.jpg
ca. 2000 wedding dress pattern Neue Mode Stil Avantgarde S22532 - an here's a totally different one, elegant but still romantic with lots of lace!

I hope I'll be forgiven for for once adding a couple more... these have long been sold, but they were my special favourites for various reasons...

Of course it doesn't say so, but it's pretty clear this is based on Princess Diana's dress (and her bridesmaids' dresses)... serendipiously, I found this just a couple of months before Harry & Meghan's wedding!

My personal favourite, if I had to choose one for myself or indeed ever decided to go down that route - incredibly simple, endlessly elegant!

I am in love with MJ's 1930s panne velvet dress. Serious wow!

And @Ranch Queen Vintage we have your 1951 wedding dress in the VFG Wedding Resource, but not the 1966 one. Shameless plug to both members and guests for dated Wedding Resource photo submissions - details HERE .
