It can be dicey. I have this angora sweater.
It's not "red" and it's not bright pink or cerise, which had more violet tones I think. I like using this site for naming colors.

And the closest match I find is "Amaranth."
My brain tells me amaranth is a short-lived perennial and I suppose the flower could be this color, but somehow I don't see anyone searching "amaranth". Looking around more I see I can use "crimson" and that seems to describe it.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this fun site for naming colors.
