hi yall, haven't posted in a while and i'm glad to be back. i need some help on a couple of items. i have several antique or vintage buttons (not sure of the age) that i know nothing about. they have a bar on the back that has a spring like pin in it that slides up and down (maybe some way of attaching to dress/blouse)? owner believes they could have been her mothers (making them 80 years old or so?). anyone know possible age?
also have a belt buckle(?) that is made of bakelite or celluloid? can't smell very good so smell test doesn't work for me. one of the plastic slips that holds the belt is missing off one piece, but i thought they were quite nice. anyone know about possible age or even if it is a belt buckle and the material it is made of?
thank you for all of your help as usual,
julie
