Need help identifying this dress

I have this dress that looks like a 1940s dress with the snaps and hooks closure, there is support at the waist area ( Girdles/ corset? ). however, there is plastic support in the neck area, I have a hard time dating it, could anyone help? Also, do you know what kind of dress it is? Thank you! Oh, and there are armpit sweat pads in this dress!

Oh yes- it closes at the back.
What I am seeing is the interior construction of the dress, which is not for support, but for shaping and to make it lay smoothly over a separate corset.
The order of underwear from the skin out would be along these lines:
1)camisole and bloomers ( separate or joined at waist) OR chemise
2) corset
3) corset cover and petticoat OR princess line petticoat.
