New to the forum...and question about a label 30's/40's?

    I think this 1938 ad for Margo de Mar dresses has your sweet dress...

    What a sweetheart of a dress, and... hooray, Lynne has found an ad for it! Too bad the ad doesn't specify the fabric, but it's nice to know how t he company described the colorway.

    It is a newspaper ad and even though this is a tiny fraction of the paper and presented here for educational purposes only (thus qualifying for Fair Use), we have to consider and respect potential copyright issues, so, no they are not collected anywhere.

    That dress is only a tiny part of a large ad for Margo de Mar dresses. The ad headlines say the dresses are of imported hopsack linens.

    This is soooooo wonderful and amazing! To see what others saw back then advertising something from so long ago.... and so special!
