Hello everyone! I’m new here. I just chanced upon this group because I wanted to identify this vintage Burberry skirt that I want to purchase. Hope you guys could help me! Thank you!

Thank you so much for chancing upon us @Diordiva :) I'm sorry we aren't able to authenticate the skirt, but we are happy to help with other aspects.

Hello there! My name is Josephine and I am a new member of this forum. I have used this site off and on for several months now and it has been so helpful for my overall vintage fashion knowledge as well as for my reselling business. I look forward to interacting with you all at some point!

Hello all,

My name is Sarah and I currently live in Spokane, Washington, USA. I work with a local nonprofit and receive a plethora of vintage donated clothing and accessories. I am always looking to expand my knowledge and identification, I figured this would be a great resource to do so. My specialty is vintage designer leather goods, but my interests are vast. I very much appreciate this opportunity and look forward to getting to know this community!

Hi all, new to this forum on 12-15-21. After going to many, many estate sales I have a growing interest, and respect for the styling, fabrics, and quality of older clothing. I LOVE finding something like a 1950's dress in the back of a closet, cleaning it up gently, and then see it on someone who really appreciates it like I do.

Hello everybody, I'm Heidi and I live near St Albans in the UK. I'm a sporadic eBay seller, hoping to brush up on my knowledge of vintage fashion. Thanks for having me!

Hello everyone! I am Erin and I live in the beach cities area of Los Angeles. I am a hobbyist vintage reseller in her infancy stage. I've always loved the thrill of the hunt and want to learn more about what I am finding out in the wild. I have been using the tag identification feature for a while and figured it was about time to join in on the fun!

Hello! I’m Lindsay, I love the 1940’s through the 1960’s fashion. I have one Siamese mix 16 year old cat named Cleo. I work in supported employment as a Job coach/Employment specialist. It’s nice to meet you all! I started loving vintage fashion a bit after I graduated community college. It started out with my love of antiques and antiquing with my parents on the week ends. I’ve always been an old soul. I’m still starting out and have only of couple of true vintage pieces such as a swing coat, a vintage red cape, and what looks to be a homemade house dress. I’m am still building my collection up and for now I’m mostly wearing vintage inspired and a few reproduction pieces. So far I love it! I hear about this guild through a couple of vintage Facebook groups in a member of and wanted to check on it out!

I don’t know if I’m posting in the right place but my name is Pete. I’ve been selling vintage items online and am looking to increase my knowledge about clothes. Personally I’m on a weight loss journey and have begun to buy my clothes on thrift stores as I am sizing out of them before I know it. Ironically I can now afford the best (often vintage) brands I could never afford before! I’m better dressed now than ever.

Welcome to the forums, Pete! I think that is also the draw for many to wear vintage or second hand - vintage clothing is often better quality and often you can afford items that you couldn't afford otherwise. I live in cashmere sweaters in winter - that wouldn't be possible if I bought new-new clothes :).
